Two Day Workshop: Economics for Radical Community Activists
The UK economy is likely to be the terrain on which tensions will emerge between an austerity-driven Conservative government and a Scottish National Party committed to opposing public spending cuts. This two-day workshop aims to address fundamental questions on the nature of money and the role of finance in contemporary capitalism, relating specifically to Scotland and the rest of the UK. It brings to Aberdeen, for the first time, a panel of expert speakers on the political economy of capitalism from the perspective of its contradictions and conflicts.
